The ServiceSure National Warranty is a key benefit of choosing Bassaguard Garage. It provides 12-month / 12,000-mile cover on all parts and labour for qualifying repairs. If a repaired part fails, you are covered at any participating ServiceSure garage across the UK, not just ours. This gives you nationwide peace of mind that most independent garages simply cannot offer.
Absolutely not. Thanks to UK ‘Block Exemption’ regulations, we can carry out scheduled servicing on your vehicle using manufacturer-approved parts and procedures. This means you receive high-quality, professional servicing that protects your vehicle’s warranty, often saving you over 33% compared to main dealership prices.
We generally recommend following your vehicle manufacturer’s service schedule, which is typically every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Regular servicing at Bassaguard Garage helps maintain your car’s efficiency, protects its value, and spots minor issues before they become expensive problems.
Your car’s first MOT is due on the third anniversary of its registration. After that, it must be tested every 12 months. If your MOT expires, you cannot legally drive the car on public roads, except to drive to a pre-booked MOT test or to a place of repair. Driving without a valid MOT can result in a fine of up to £1,000.
You should not ignore it. The warning light indicates a fault that needs immediate attention. Bring your car to Bassaguard Garage as soon as possible for a professional diagnostic check. We use advanced equipment to accurately pinpoint the fault, saving you time and preventing potential damage to expensive components.
Common signs that your clutch needs attention include:
Difficulty shifting gears, often with a grinding or slipping sensation.
The engine revs increase but the car doesn’t accelerate properly (slipping clutch).
A burning smell (like burnt rubber) when driving.
A spongy, stiff, or unusually high clutch pedal. If you notice any of these, contact us immediately to book a check.
Yes, and we highly recommend it! Booking an MOT and service together at Bassaguard Garage is a convenient way to ensure both your roadworthiness (MOT) and mechanical health (service) are covered in a single, easy visit, and often results in a better overall price.
We use high-quality, OEM-standard parts that match or exceed the specifications of the original manufacturer’s components. This ensures the reliability and safety of your vehicle. Because we use approved parts and follow strict service procedures, your manufacturer’s warranty remains protected, as required by UK law.
